The newly developed CLIMATE-PLUS energy saving system from HOBART makes it easy to save energy in wash up areas: up to 70 per cent of energy from waste water and up to 100 per cent of energy from exhaust air is returned to the wash cycle. This means lower energy consumption and lower operating costs. And now the Catering Star 2021 award in silver.
Offenburg – The magazine "Cooking und Catering Inside" has been surveying its readers for many years on the best new convenience, beverage and kitchen equipment products for the restaurant and communal catering sectors. Caterers and chefs gave out bronze, silver and gold awards in several categories to their favourite products and services. In the warewashing and kitchen equipment category, many respondents voted for the CLIMATE-PLUS energy saving system, which is used in HOBART's flight-type dishwashers.
CLIMATE-PLUS combines drain heat recovery and state-of-the-art heat pump technology, enabling flight-type dishwashers to significantly reduce energy consumption. The hot waste water passes through a heat exchanger unit where incoming supply water is heated by the waste water via the counterflow principle. At the same time, energy from the hot exhaust air is also fed back into the wash cycle.
